We are seeking parent feedback on this state
survey.
The results from the survey will be used by the Georgia Department of Education to calculate a statewide accountability rating called the School Climate Star Rating within the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI). Please visit the following link to participate in this important survey that will be published statewide as a component of the accountability system.

The Georgia Parent Survey will remain open through Friday, February 26, 2016. We appreciate your participation.

Oconee Food for Kids
Oconee Food for Kids was created to help bridge the food gap for some of Oconee’s kids. Sacks of kid-friendly food are given each week to children in need.  January 11 - January 29, Rocky Branch will be collecting individual containers of fruit with pull tops (peaches, apple sauce, fruit cocktail, pears, etc.).  This is a great way to include your child in putting the Rockets’ Way into action.  Include them when you purchase the items.  Or maybe, let them earn some money toward purchasing some of the items. Discuss how this helps other students in Oconee County Schools.  This is Contribution, Effort and Teamwork all tied together!

At Rocky Branch our focus is on finding solutions to our problems. We have been learning some techniques ( Ignore it, talk it over respectfully with the person, try to agree on a win-win solution or get help from the teacher) We are working to be problem solvers by using the wheel of choice that we created as a class and to share our thoughts with each other during class meetings. We have created bonds by sharing strategies that have worked in the past. :)

Please have your child participate in the Six Flags Read to Succeed Program by reading and recording 6 hours of reading.  Once they have completed and documented their reading, please have them return the completed form to me.  The deadline to submit your reading log is Friday, February 19.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  You can print out the forms below by clicking on the link.
