About Mrs. Ashley

My name is Claire Ashley and I will be your child's first grade teacher this year.  This will be my 19th year of teaching after receiving my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education.  After teaching for two years, I went back to school to pursue a Master’s in Early Childhood Education followed by a Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction.  In addition, I added a math endorsement to my certificate in 2006.  Completing my gifted endorsement Spring 2015 has helped ensure that I meet the students' needs by providing enrichment exercises.  I have experience teaching all grades kindergarten - fifth.  Prior to my first year of teaching, I was a long-term sub in a 3rd grade classroom for the last half of the school year.  I am very excited about the opportunity to teach first grade this year at RBES.

Hobbies:  reading, jogging, shopping, going to Georgia football games, and spending time with family and friends
