Valentine's Day Party
Our class will
exchange Valentines during our party on Tuesday, January 14th from 1:30-2:15.
(This celebration is for first grade students and teachers only.)
Students may bring in a home-made
box to collect their cards in. Please bring completed boxes
and cards to school on Tuesday, February 14th. I also sent a class roster home with the students so they know how to
spell their classmate's names.
The first grade musical "Lemonade” will
be presented by our first grade classes on Thursday, March 23.
There will be three performances of the show. The performances will be 9:00
a.m., 10:15 a.m.., and 7:00 p.m. Mark your calendar with these special dates!
The first grade students are going to present a great show!

It is time for the RBES Spring Book Fair! The dates for this exciting event are March
9, and 13-17. The Book Fair will be open March 9 and 13-16 from 8:00 AM until
2:30 PM, Tuesday night from 6-8 during the STEAM Night/Ice Cream Social, and on
Friday, March 17 from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Grandparents and special friends
are invited to lunch and the Book Fair any day, March 9 and Monday-Thursday,
March 13-16. The Book Fair provides students, parents, grandparents, and
special friends an excellent opportunity to purchase great books that your
children will love to read. This is also
a wonderful way to help support the RBES Media Center. All proceeds go directly to the RBES Media Center.
We need volunteers! Please go to SignUp.com to sign up! http://signup.com/go/Ja4eiX
Snack Reminders
Please be sure to send your child to school every day with a
snack. Snacks should be quick and easy to eat, as we have five minutes for
snack. Please be mindful of the sugar content in snacks and of our friends who
have nut allergies. Thank you!
Six Flags Read to
Succeed
Your child was sent
home with a Six Flags Read to Succeed Student Reading Log. Keep track of your
child’s reading with this log to qualify for a free ticket to Six Flags Over
Georgia. Students must read and log 6 hours. Reading logs are due to Mrs. Ashley by February 10th, but
may be turned in sooner if at least 6 hours are completed. I will
distribute tickets in the spring when they arrive at school. If you need a new
