Valentine's Day Party
Our class will exchange Valentines during our party on Tuesday, January 14th from 1:30-2:15. (This celebration is for first grade students and teachers only.)

Students may bring in a home-made box to collect their cards in. Please bring completed boxes and cards to school on Tuesday, February 14th. I also sent a class roster home with the students so they know how to spell their classmate's names.

The first grade musical "Lemonade” will be presented by our first grade classes on Thursday, March 23. There will be three performances of the show. The performances will be 9:00 a.m., 10:15 a.m.., and 7:00 p.m. Mark your calendar with these special dates! The first grade students are going to present a great show!

Calling All 1st Grade Parents!

Ms. Granger needs volunteers to help with the 1st Grade Musical, "Lemonade!"  Help is needed with the scenery and costumes for this performance.  Workdays to help with scenery will take place on the following days:

Thursday, Feb. 16

Thursday, Feb. 23
Monday, Feb. 27
Monday, March 6
Thursday, March 9
Monday, March 13

If you are able to help, please come to the Art & Music rooms from 2:30-4:00 pm.  Children are welcome, and they can even help, so you can write a note for any school-aged children to stay after school on any day you are able to work.  You may want to bring your child a snack for after school.

We are also in need of some costumes for the following characters:
Chicken Little
Rooster
Cinderella
Jack and the Beanstalk's Mother
Rapunzel
Three Billy Goats Gruff
Mother Goose
Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe
Little Miss Muffet
Little Red Riding Hood
Cat with a Fiddle
Little Bo Peep

If you have any of these costumes, or even items that could work as part of one of these costumes, please contact Lindsey Pollack at LHPollack@hotmail.com.  Also email Lindsey with any questions or if you are able to help in any capacity!  Thank you!

It is time for the RBES Spring Book Fair!  The dates for this exciting event are March 9, and 13-17. The Book Fair will be open March 9 and 13-16 from 8:00 AM until 2:30 PM, Tuesday night from 6-8 during the STEAM Night/Ice Cream Social, and on Friday, March 17 from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Grandparents and special friends are invited to lunch and the Book Fair any day, March 9 and Monday-Thursday, March 13-16. The Book Fair provides students, parents, grandparents, and special friends an excellent opportunity to purchase great books that your children will love to read.  This is also a wonderful way to help support the RBES Media Center.  All proceeds go directly to the RBES Media Center.
We need volunteers!  Please go to SignUp.com to sign up! http://signup.com/go/Ja4eiX

Snack Reminders
Please be sure to send your child to school every day with a snack. Snacks should be quick and easy to eat, as we have five minutes for snack. Please be mindful of the sugar content in snacks and of our friends who have nut allergies. Thank you!
